Here are a few things that you might want to think about while planning:
1. Guest List
This is a crucial part of planning any event. In this case, I would try to keep it between 10-15 people that way there will always be someone to chat with but not too many that it will be overwhelming. (Also if you’re ever debating on inviting someone you should probably just send him or her an invite to be on the safe side. No one wants to be on the “forgot you list”.)
I chose to go with a black, white, pink (& anything gold) theme. There is a sophisticated Parisian vibe to this decor that I really enjoyed. Who doesn’t appreciate some champagne inspired macarons?!
3. Food/ Drinks
In my opinion this is the most important part and I doubt anyone will disagree. The basics should include a variation of eggs, French toast and an array of fruit. There is a wide-range of scrambled egg recipes to try from the one and only Martha Stewart if you are looking for ideas. I also think that these simple quiche recipes would be fun to try for any DIY brunch party.
Last and obviously not least: the cocktails. My favorite part about Sunday brunch is without a doubt the bottomless mimosas. The drinks that you choose to serve at your get together are up to you. You can never go wrong with a build your own Bloody Mary bar, Mimosa or Bellini.
Next time you’re looking for a way to gather friends for a fun time I hope these ideas help to inspire you!! There is nothing better than a few old friends around a table complete with your favorite brunch treats!!
