A few weeks ago, the Philadelphia Flower Show took over the Convention Center and I headed downtown with my friend Kate Farley of Kate Farley Design. Who better to check out the flower show with than a florist? We also bought tickets for the Wedding Wednesday party put on by Philadelphia Wedding Magazine. It was a bridal show but we basically ate and drank our way through, chit chatting with those we knew and schmoozing those we didn't. Then we headed back to the actual flower show. The theme this year was ARTiculture. I didn't "get" a lot of it but I definitely was inspired. The picture above makes me want to plan something bright fuchsia and indigo with tons of beautiful flowers and ribbons and all of it. It'd make for a great ceremony backdrop, don't ya think?
Of course, no wedding show is complete without a swag bag full of fun surprises like wildflower seeds from Papertree Studios and chocolate buddhas from Buddakan. And goofball photobooth pics are standard.
