Happy one year anniversary to these two! Let's reminisce on their stunning at-home wedding that we created this time last year!
On a beautiful October evening, at the home they built together, Stephanie and Michael recited their wedding vows to each other. The two grew up together in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania aka the Mushroom Capital of the World. Brought together by the friendship of Michael’s sister and Stephanie’s cousin. Stephanie went off to school and Michael stayed to work at the family mushroom farm business until a few years later, the two were reunited and magic happened. After a picture-perfect engagement in Italy, the two quickly began planning their at-home wedding with us!
The two were married by Stephanie’s godfather Carlos in front of a barn beam arch, built by the groom and accented with flowers by Fresh Designs Flora & Events. Stephanie and her father walked up the aisle to the sound of a mariachi band as a nod to Stephanie’s Mexican heritage. Afterwards, the newlyweds snuck into their home for a minute alone then tied on aprons for a surprise stint behind the bar, which opened up in their garage. The guests were thrilled!
Grand sailcloth tents paired with farmhouse tables and gorgeous vintage furniture from Maggpie Vintage appealed to the couple, who work in real estate development and interior design. Copper bowls filled with flowers lined the tables and guests found their seats with the help of custom personalized coasters. The coasters also served as Red and Green response cards for the Churrascaria style dinner! Brazilian flank steak and roasted pig were served from long skewers while bowls of campanelle gratin and platters of freshly picked stuffed portabella mushrooms were served family style by Sage Catering.
The warm and cozy tent provided a magical atmosphere for all 165 guests who feasted on cake from Bredenbecks and an assortment of desserts like mini churros and tiramisu. They then danced until midnight, when the taco truck showed up for late night snacks! After the music died down and the last guests off to their hotels, Stephanie and Mike stood in their doorway and shared a kiss. The day had gone perfectly and the venue just couldn’t be beat.
